While Alexanderplatz is one of Berlin’s most known spots and tourist attractions, locals try to avoid it as much as possible for it’s rather poorly designed public space, complicated social fabric, and 1,000 and one smells mixing in the air. With the planned development of this area in the next few years, Tagesspiegel brought up the discussion about this place in their “Wer ist schuld am Alexanderplatz?”  article.
